Dylan was born and raised in Boise, Idaho, where she’s been hitting the slopes at the age of three. Jump ahead 22 years to present day and she’s still on the mountain, although she’s found that the older you get, the more it hurts. Inspired to snowboard by the driving force of all her life’s work, the American dream. In her first competition, she remembers dropping through a mess of trees and hitting the rail before almost entering a river. “I got first,” she says, “and was rewarded with a decorated Manikin head, and a mustang hubcap was hung around my neck. I was so proud.” Being a killer snowboarder is not all that makes her a BabeShredder. When it comes to getting girls to progress in the sport without fear, she is more creative and dedicated than most. This past spring, she held the first annual Mammajamma Rail Jam, an all female snowboard competition of her own creation. This is the first of its kind in her area, and it’s been a huge success, inspiring a lot of women to compete for the first time. It has beginner and advanced grouping and features to encourage riders of all skill levels to compete. When asked about the future of her sport, she says, “we will all have jet packs in the future, so women’s snowboarding will be heading to space!”

"I don't ride to compete. I don't ride for show. I ride to push myself a little bit farther each time and see what barriers I can tackle. That in itself is enough reward & praise for me."
