I founded Babe Shredder in 2013 after my second season of competitive collegiate wakeboarding for the Arizona State University Wake Devils. I was encouraged to start Babe Shredder for two reasons: to increase female participation and bring more recognition to females in the sport.
In 2014, we launched the first female cable wakeboard competition in Arizona with Texas to follow in 2015. The competitions inspired young, seasoned and new female riders to challenge themselves, encourage others and bring more participation to the sport and local parks.
Babe Shredder has evolved into an ongoing community of shredders from various board sport disciplines including snowboarding, surfing and skateboarding. Together we continue to empower one another and grow our sports.
